One for Simon...

Timothy Shriver, chairman of the Special Olympics, admits to NPR that he actually didn't see "Tropic Thunder." But he's calling for a boycott of the Ben Stiller film — the one he hasn't seen — because its use of the word "retard" causes "suffering, injustice and exclusion."

Timothy Shriver - you're a retard.
It's a movie.
Get over it.

I heard Stiller on NPR the other day. The movie's central theme is how self-centered and insensitive Hollywood people are. The whole friggin' point of the movie is that these are terrible people and the movie is making fun of them.

Can't wait to see it.

Yeah. Well people don't care about "the point." They just want to whine loudly about irrelevant crap that rubs them the wrong way. That, my friend is the 'merican way. We have RIGHTS! Ya know?

Okay, so listen up man. As both a parent and a career teacher of "retards" I find this whole freakin' commotion silly. I mean really now, it's not like the film is advocating eating babies or anything.
